\ud83d\udcf7 We were delighted to welcome Epic Foundation<\/a><\/mark> and Blue Ventures<\/mark><\/a> to our Paris headquarters for a discussion on their impactful partnership, part of the Preserving the Environment and Future Generations key area supported by Anaxis Asset Management<\/mark><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

\ud83d\udcac Charlotte Jestin<\/a><\/mark>, Donor Experience Manager at Epic Foundation, presented their mission to connect social entrepreneurs with donors, emphasizing their rigorous selection of high-impact organizations such as Blue Ventures. Epic is committed to supporting initiatives that safeguard ocean resources for future generations. <\/p>\n\n

\ud83d\udcac Gildas Andriamalala<\/mark><\/a>, Blue Ventures\u2019 Madagascar Country Director, then showcased the strength of community-led marine conservation efforts, emphasizing that the power to restore the ocean has always lived in the people who depend on it.<\/p>\n\n

\u23e9 He shared concrete outcomes from Madagascar that demonstrate this community-powered change: communities are bringing their seas back to life through initiatives like fishing closures and the creation of Locally Managed Marine Areas (LMMAs), the reforestation of over 2,500 hectares of mangroves.<\/p>\n\n

\u23e9 Blue Ventures backs local resilience by linking fisheries management with financial inclusion and food security, and has a history of supporting essential services like local education, health, and entrepreneurship through strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n\n

\u23e9 Founded in 2003, Blue Ventures now operates across several continents, removing the barriers to funding, data, training, and advocacy so coastal communities can strengthen stewardship of their coastlines and drive lasting recovery and lasting prosperity.<\/p>\n\n

\u23e9 By 2030, they aim to achieve significant scale, unlocking the power of 400 civil society organizations and improving livelihoods across 10,000 coastal villages to gain recognized control of over 200,000 km\u00b2 of coastal seas.<\/p>\n\n

The session concluded with a rich Q&A on governance, conflict resolution, industrial fishing, and economic activities that underpin sustainable community development.<\/p>\n\n
